Be aware....your warm weather will stop on Saturday. I left upper Michigan this morning and I am now in Dayton, OH. We will be in The Villages, FL, saturday and Coco Beach tuesday.  As last year and '09, it will be cold. It will not warm up until March 15 when we leave. What do you Florida people have against me? I asked the chamber of commerce to refund my rent money, but they refused. They are just as "cold" as the weather.

LOL I'm already annoyed with the cold...are you telling me it's going to be worse?! Ugh! I don't need 80 but lows out of the 40s would be nice...I moved to FL to get AWAY from the cold! :)

Too funny, Dan! tongue Here's a tip from a native Floridian: anything north Tampa is the frozen tundra, go west for even more warmth, and Key West is the BEST! cool

Happy trails!

I am loving the "cold" weather.

Yeah, it's cold but we don't have it anywhere near as bad as other States have it. Plus, my electric bill is almost $200 LESS then it normally is. I only turn the heater on for a couple hours before bed, and then first thing in the morning for about an hour or so. Just to take some of the chill out of the air. But we walk around the house with long sleeve shirts on and socks. And bundle up with a thick blanket at night. It's the best!

I had to take a cab to a doctors appointment a few weeks ago and the driver was laughing at us complaining about the cold. She was from New York.

I guess we are in the "tundra" in central Florida :-)

When hubby had his surgery at Mayo in Jacksonville 6 weeks ago...it snowed (few flurries) while we were there...ugh!

Dan should be having some nice weather..beautiful sunny 70s today

I'm here in The Villages. It's not cold yet but it should not be long. It makes me laugh when I watch the weather here and the weatherman says "right now it is 50 degrees and the wind chill is 45 degrees". Wind chill at 50 degrees? You people don't know about wind chill. Come to Michigan or any of the northern states. We'll show you wind chill.

Dan - we live here in The Villages going on 9 years now.  Relocated from Mass.  Last wintah was the worst and we had a few good cold snaps this year too.

Are you visiting with friends/family or checking us out?  We really love it here.  My only sistah is here now and several groups of friends also relocated here too.

We are in Virginia Trace - a short walk to Sumter Landing. Hope you are enjoying your visit here and you get good weather in Coco. Haven't been over there for quite awhile.

I didn't pay close enough attention to the first e-mail...maybe we could have hooked up and met.....going line dancing in a bit and playing our usual Monday night cards with a few other couples. I'm sure your relatives can attest to how active life is here which is one of the main reasons hubby wanted get back on track and enjoy living again. The past few years were not fun at all overall.

Poor timing. We are in Coco Beach now.

What I don't understand is why it is in the upper 70's. WE ARE HERE. IT SHOULD BE COLD BY NOW. One of you must have had pity on me and ordered warm weather. Whoever you are...THANKS A MILLION!

Have a great time.........this is kind of normal weather for here this time of year. As I said last year was cold longer but this winter also had some spells that were the coldest on record for a long time too.

Being from New England we like the change of season and wearing jeans and light jackets...just don't like bundling up with scarfs and gloves.

Glad you're getting some nice weather to enjoy your vacation.
