Everyone here has been so helpful and full of knowledge. I have a post op appointment coming up in two weeks in Cleveland and they have scheduled a gastrografin enema for me to have done. I hate surprises, please tell me the pain level of this test and how it is done. I have had my colon removed and a second surgery to reconnect in three months or less. Does this mean they inject fluid into the stoma, that sounds painful to me if that is in fact the case.
Since my surgery I ended up in emergency with terrible doubled over gas pains and no output into my bag. How scary that was. But it all seemed to work itself out with 14 hours or so. I stil have those pains when I eat to much, which in my book is hardly anything at all. I only eat tiny amounts of food but more often and of course I chew, chew, and chew!!! This is no fun at all!!! I am hoping after the second surgery I will recoup faster and feel stronger. Any and all suggestions and advise is so appreciated. Thank you in advance. Hope everyone is staying warm we are about to get two feet of snow!
