Hey everyone

I have had my J pouch for a full month now.... Everything is going well, still kind of taking it easy and just getting back into the swing of things with my life. A lot of you saw my last post but I want to make a new one for this problem I'm having.

Just an hour ago I went to the bathroom (it is 3:30 AM here) and I felt like a "ball" came out when I went... Proceeding that "ball" came LOTS of blood. I just went again and the same thing happened.... I'm absolutely freaking out can somebody PLEASE help me! I'm calling my surgeon tomorrow but I would love to hear what the hell is happening to me from other people that have went through it....

Thank You!
(I tried to post on J-pouch.org but somethings up with there sign up thing)

I was just wondering how you were doing this morning because you were having problems. Sorry I can't help, I am glad you are calling the surgeon. Maybe this is why you weren't feeling well??
Diagnosed 2006. 1st step of 2 step j-pouch 1/3/11. 2nd step will be in April! So done with this disease.

It's normal from time to time to see a bit of blood. My surgeon says it's just irritation. But what you are describing sounds more than a little. Check with your surgeon.

Hey everyone... I've went to the bathroom 2 times this morning since the "2nd bloody one" and each time I've seen less and less blood... the first time there was a little bit of blood, and this latest time there was almost none, still a little bit on the toilet paper, but NOTHING like what happened to me overnight

I called my surgeon and left a voicemail for one of his nurses so I should be getting a call back soon, i feel a lot better though that the blood is going away, I was picturing in my mind something horrible going on inside me, like my pouch coming away from the rest of my intestines or something! IDK!

Hey... talked to my surgeons nurse today and she said it definitely sounds like a case of internal hemmorhoids and that "ball" may have been a small clot that was passed from the hemorrhoids and let the blood out. I haven't seen one drop of blood all day so I'm guessing that's what it was. She said that usually when there is PAINLESS bleeding like I was having it's usually internal hemmorhoids.

Makes me feel a lot better as I was scaring myself to death last night.

Disney, yeah i've been feeling good today... all day I've seen absolutely no blood! I'm actually going to Greensboro (an hour away) tomorrow night to see the comedian Kevin Hart. Excited to go out and finally do SOMETHING... gonna pop some immodium before takin off and hopefully all goes well while I'm out... I'm gonna be out for about 5-6 hours at one time which is by far the furthest since surgery.

thanks everyone! and yeah I'm excited and he is by far my favorite comedian... but one more question!

I just felt this last night... I have a small (maybe pea size) semi-hard bump/lump under my skin right to the left of my "exit" (haha) on like the inside of the cheek. It doesn't HURT to touch but when I touch it I can feel that it's there...

I don't think so.... It feels like it's a little too far deep under my skin to be an ingrown hair... i'm not sure though I'll give it a couple days to see how it pans out, if it's still there I guess i'll be giving my surgeon another call haha... I don't like taking chances with this kind of crap after what i've (we've) been through...

hey everyone!

I had the best time I've had in a longggg time at the comedy show last night! It was absolutely hilarious. We actually stopped on the way (hour and a half drive) and got some KFC! I ordered grilled chicken (hesitant toward fried food right now) but they were out of grilled so I got original and I did absolutely fine with it, didn't bother me one bit. Anyways it was about an hour and a half drive, I had basically no urgency or any sick feeling and I drove the whole way.

When I got there it was a bit of a walk and I did fine with that.... got in and got our tickets scanned and everything, finally went ahead and went to the bathroom even though I didn't really have to as I really didn't want to get up during his routine. Now the show, kevin Hart is without a doubt my FAVORITE comedian and we were in the "pit" of the auditorium about 10 feet from him, it was an awesome night.... I contemplated getting a drink (first "legal" drink, but decided against it as I'd rather try a beer for the first time since surgery at home and not at a comedy show!)

But anyways, I felt REALLY good getting out like I did last night and had a great time. Slept all the way through the night... went to bed about midnight and got up at 6 oclock to go to to the bathroom! I've never slept that long since surgery w/o having to go.

YAYAYAY!!! That's awesome. Doesn't it feel awesome to go out and enjoy life again?

BTW - the bump - might be a scar from the drain tube. I know that I had one also and it seems to be reducing in size and going away but check with your surgeon just to be safe.

Thanks ducridr! and yeah I have that scar, where it was sutured in, its actually still a scab as I'm sure it's in a tough place to heal, but this is in a different spot, it's starting to kind of worry me even though it does not hurt or anything, I Just hate not KNOWING what it is, I'm gonna give them a call Monday...
