I have recently been trying to eat more healthily, and it's been so great eating foods that I used to not be able to with crohns.

However, I have recently been having such a hard time with broccoli. It's fine for a few hours, and then I'll have this crazy gas stomach pain where I can't focus on anything else. It doesn't really feel like a blockage. Just a really full feeling.

Will I ever be able to enjoy cooked broccoli again?!

I had a load of steamed broccoli for dinner today. I eat about 1/2 inch of the stalk below the head. It is usually not stringy and is no problem. I add raw broccoli to salads too. I have absolutely no problem with broccoli. No excessive gas, no blockage, nothing.

take some gasx before you eat broccoli it will help with that, and eat some bread or something with it, or cheese sauce on it, something that kind of soaks it up, if that makes sense. i only eat the top parts, but i dont like the stems, never have.
the thing i dont like about it though (i still eat it!) is that it smells so awful when it comes out and it looks really gross too, lol.

Does broccol smell when it comes out? I had no idea. I have parkinsons and the first symptom is loss of smell. I lost mine about 40 years ago. I don't smell anything. It has it's advantages. Not a good trade off, however.

I don't think the kinking is related to the foods I eat.
