Hi, just realised that didn't introduce myself and say hi. I've been posting on the CD forum and then came over onto here very early hours this morning and didn't think to say hello. Put it down to sleep deprevation!

Currently been off sick since 3rd week in November due to CD flare and main problem is D. Having to empty bag approx 25 times each day, day and night and this means getting about 3-4 hours sleep a night. Can't risk any longer as will wake up to find right old mess.

Have tried Immodium, capsules don't get absorbed as very littke small bowel left and the instant melt version burnt mouth and tongue. Have been taking steroids since before Xmas and also been on Azathioprine for last 16 years. Now on Humira and due second injections Wednesday. I take co-codamol morning and evening for neck injury and the codeine obviously thickens things up a bit but output still huge. So GI put me on codeine tablets on their own as didn't want me to have any more paracetamol and Lomotil not good as have lower kidney function. If I take the codeine regularly then output is thick but still loads, if don't take then loads but consistency of water. Whatever I do system seems to have gone nuts and just keeps producing.

Getting pretty fed up as want to get back to work, so if anyone has any suggestions on what will help output reduce I would be very grateful. It seems whatever I eat somehow multiplies by 10! Did read on here abput caffeine, so am changing to caffeine free teabags, also ordered bee propolis tablets. At the moment am willing to look at anything.

It is very odd as never had flare up like this with huge output but then again have been in remission for 6 years since last surgery which was told could have left me with absorbtion issues but never had a problem with it until middle of last year.
