give yourself some time, it might still be some pred withdrawal messing with you, that stuff is evil!
Also, i don't know why you had your colon removed or how sick you were before hand but it takes a while to get over that too.
Even if it was the first of january that's not that long to be recovered. I remember that there were times that i wanted to eat like crazy, and then days when i didn't want to eat at all, that lasted for a few months. I wish i didn't want to eat now!
If you don't have pain and you still have output then it's probably not a blockage, you could be dehydrated though, make sure you are drinking enough water. juices and sodas and stuff can actually dehydrate you more.
UC for 8 years, before finally kicking its butt and having a permanent ileostomy April 17 2007!

When I got down to 5mg of Prednisone and then for a week or so after I stopped taking it, I completely lost my appetite. One day it took me an hour to eat an egg. I knew I needed the protein (which I found out I was deficient in) but I could barely get food down. My appetite came back pretty quickly a couple of weeks later.
-Officially diagnosed with UC in 2006, though had symptoms since 1999.
-Had mild/moderate symptoms continuously until severe flare in autumn 2010 which required 2-week hospital stay
-Took Asacol, Rowasa, Canasa and Prednisone to manage flares but meds stopped working
-Tried 1 infusion of Remicade but had excruciating joint pain and discontinued
-Had permanent ileostomy surgery 11/8/2010
