I have had a total collostomy for 2 years and have had a problem with burning from irritation arround the stoma. I've tried protonix and every antacid available with no luck. I've tried stoma paste and rings with no help. Seems like the acid in my stool is so strong that it eats thru everything. Anybody got any ideas??

I have had the same problem before. Not saying that you are experiencing the same thing as I am. But I found that I was cutting my wafers to large. In doing so it would expose the skin around my ostomy and cause irritation. once I started to cut the hole in my wafer smaller it when away.
