I've been here in Cocoa Beach, Florida, since the end of January. Packin' up tomorrow, be out of Florida by early afternoon Wednesday. Back in Michigan Friday. YIPPEE No place like home. Had to come here to keep my wife, Carol, happy. Four years in a row. Next the ice will be gone and my pontoon goes back in the water. Can't wait. Everything will be slow and easy again....good for the digestion. Cruise the lake with a tall drink....walk the dog.....

Happy Dan

If it helps you, Dan, I'll go with Carol next year! You could do some ice fishing and I could enjoy some drinks on the beach.

Drive safely and enjoy your pontoon.

Our friends have a place in Cocoa Beach.  They've been going down there for a few months out of they year since 05.  They LOVE it!!!  Steve likes to go watch the shuttles take off at Canaveral and they have easy access to cruise lines.
Do you have a condo down there?  Maybe it is the same place.  Wouldn't that be somethin!
My hubby is getting the craps of these cold winters in Jersey.  Now that I am better, maybe we'll look into something next year.
Have a safe trip back to Michigan.

Have a safe trip home.

All you guys are SOOO lucky. I live in Ontario (very long, cold winters) and am looking so forward to retirement and the hope to buy "something" in Florida for the winter months. My parents always spent their winters in St. Petes (Madeira Beach) and I absolutely LOVE it there. Ahhhhhhhh.....to dream!

The pontooning also sounds like a lot of fun!

We rent a house in south Cocoa beach. 150 feet to the ocean. The house has a fenced yard for our dog. That was the "selling point" when we rented it unseen except for a google of the outside.

Don't want to own a place here. At one time we owned our live in house, a cottage up north, two single family rentals and one two family. I now have one house and don't want anymore.

Safe travels Dan. At least you got to enjoy some milder weather down here instead of a longer winter in Michigan.

If you come back to see relatives in The Villages give me a heads up and we can get together for lunch. Sorry it didn't work out this past visit here but we were both still getting settled and situated after his surgery.

Hopefully you won't get that snow Dan...but if you do you know it will be gone real soon.
