hi all,

i just started an israelie ostomy support forum. when i found this site about 2 and half yrs ago, i felt like it was a god-sent. i had no idea what to expect with the colectomy and life afterwards and what's it like living with a stoma in case i may need one etc. i just had NO ONE to talk to. i was TERRIFIED! but this site..... this site really saved me. through all the amazing ppl here, i've learned that life with an ostomy is so not the end of the world. all of you wonderful ppl here helped me see it all in a very possitive way and i'm forever thankful for it!

so up untill today, there was NO israelie support forum for ostomies, so inspired by this wonderful site and the wonderful ppl in it, i decided to make it my bussiness to have one opened.

wish us luck and that it'll be as productive, supportive, informative and positive as this one! yeah

here's the link to it:

Hodaya,

That is super.

Am getting better so will likely be in Israel in May. I have to find out when our side trips etc are so I can arrange a time for us to meet. I HOPE there is some extra port time, but so far all the side trips sound like 8 and 12 hours long. BUT we are overnight in one port, so that may be do-able.

YEAH Rosemary!! so glad you're getting better! it'll be great to see you. if we have several hrs together, i'll have my friend to guide what places to go and which resturants in Haifa are good etc. she lives there and knows the place best! :)) we should have so much fun together i can't wait!

thanks for the support on the forum. you're all invited to congratulate me in my new forum lol ;) you just have to press on the
"הוספת הודעה חדשה" which is on the right of the screen, then the first field is for your name, second just press the space key (it's for your email, but don't give it, cuz they won't stop sending you articles in hebrew lol), then subject and the big window is of course for the post. identify with your screen name here so i'll be able to know who posted it :D lol that'll be so encouraging. no one knows about it yet. we'll have to put many advetizments to let ppl know about it. also, my friend is going to join me too in moderating the forum. we're only forum moderators, it's just that this site required pics and all... didn't really want to put my pic and all, but that's ok too.
