takedown surgery

What type of prep has been used on the takedown jpouch surgery by anyone who has had this surgery and what type of pre op tests?

A pouchoscopy which is basically an xray of the jpouch to check for leaks. You will have to take a contrast, via the anus, and then they will shoot many photos. It's not painful but slightly uncomfortable. Take an extra bag and wafer to the test in the event the contrast blows your seal.

    my daughter just had her check up to see if her pouch is okay.  They didn't do it the way suebear had said.  They put a cathater through her stoma it was clear liquid don't remeber what they called it.  She had no discomfort at all.  As we got to watch as the pouch filled up.  No leaks from what the doctor could see.  We did bring extra things to change incase needed.  She has the two piece so we just changed the bag when they were done.
