Hi all,
I'm looking for opinions. I want to take a class online over the summer, but the time period for the class is May 31 - July 14 and I will definitely be having takedown during that time period, sometime between mid June and early July. I really really want to take this class, though.
From what I hear, you're up and running around pretty quickly after takedown. I feel like I could handle an online class during this time, but what do you think? Should I just make resting up and healing my only responsibility?
Your input is always appreciated. Thanks!

You'll probably be fine, but if you do take the class, tell your professor up front that you'll be having surgery and as soon as you know the date let them know. That way you can be late on any assignments that are due on the days you'll be in the hospital. (or maybe turn them in early for good measure) I'd think they'd be more lenient if you tell them up front you know you're going to be in the hospital.

I had several hospital visits in college and only ever had one professor that didn't allow me to make up the work. Looking back I think i should have gone to his supervisor about it because that's total crap that you can't make up work because being the hospital is not an excuse, oh well.

Should I consider you my reflection?! :) Hehehe

I agree with what everyone else said. Have you ever taken an online class before? Everyone reacts differently to them. Personally I love them and do very well in online classes. But I know a lot of people who are unable to follow along because they don't have self-discipline.
