I posted this question a few months ago and didn't get a lot of response so I'm trying again. I'm flying in a couple of months and I'd like to know if anyone has had "issues" with the TSA agents since they're now doing "enhanced" pat downs in some cases. If you ended up in the machine did you tell the agent before you stepped into it what they were going to see on the scan? Thanks everyone!

well im going on a plane for the second time in my entire life, first time with bag, tomorrow, and i'll let you know when i get back! the uoaa.org website has a card that they made that you can hand the tsa agent that says you have an ostomy, instead of having to just announce it.

i posted this on my eek thread, but i'll tell it again
i printed out that card from uoaa, and out of charlotte i just went through the metal detector and it was fine, then back from atlanta i went through the body thing, which is odd in and of itself. anyway, i came out and the lady said, my i touch your stomach, and i handed her the card, and she offered my a private pat down and then she said, what is this, then she read it and said, so that's what that is right there, and i said yes, and she handed the card to the other man and he said, get a special somebody, can't remember what, so then she called out to donna to come over and handed her the card, and donna asked me to walk over to the side, and i did, and she said, just place your hand over it, she asked me to do it under my shirt, but she said, do not lift your shirt to where i can see it or anyone else, then she put some stuff on my hand and put a paper on it then put the paper in a machine, then said, ok have a nice day, and sent me on my way, everyone was very friendly and professional, never once did anyone say the word ostomy outloud, and they didn't do anything they shouldn't have. the first two people didn't really know what to do, but once i showed the first lady the card, she stopped her pat down right away, before she got there, but she was being very gentle anyway. as i was leaving that area, i saw a guy getting patted down, and they were all over him, lol. not in unprofessional way, just very throrough. anyway, i really think you should print that card out, or another something that says it, that way it will be right there and noone has to yell it out.
it was a little annoying, and i was afraid at first but they were really nice.
