January I gained 40 pounds, then February another 10 pounds then another 5 pounds. I haven't weighed in a couple of weeks. I had a vaginal vault lift, cystocele, and rectocele repairs. I have had Ultrasounds, CT Scan, then I just took a cystodefacography and found I have a large sack in my rectum where stool is stuck in. Then Monday April 19th I started a colon transit study with the sitz markers, then an X-ray 24-hours after taking capsule, 3-days after, and then 5-days after. All the while not being allowed to take any laxatives during this test.

Well, I knew that I would not be able to go to the bathroom without laxatives and I meant I'm on the 3rd day of no stool, therefore sitz markers still in me.

Do you know if there are some up higher and some in rectum area, where is the problem then? Also, I have been living on saline laxatives daily to every other day but not longer. I am drinking 1-2 bottles of magnesium citrate (what you would normally drink 1/2 a bottle for colonoscopies) + going thru 1-2 bottles of milk of magnesia with it. I still do not empty myself completely out.

CAN MY WEIGHT GAIN BE A CAUSE OF THE LAXATIVES...I pray someone out there can help me with suggestions on my weight gain. I almost cannot take anymore. I am 45-years old and was diagnosed with my first ulcer at the age of 5 due to nervousness and worry. The Doctor wanted to know what a 5-year old is worrying about so much. I have had Clostridium Difficile too many to count + psuedomembraneous colitis. I want a new Colon/Rectal Doctor I think but I cannot go like this for another 3-4 months before getting in as a new patient.

Hope someone has answers...
Serenitee ........Would love to find a email pal to have someone to share such difficult medical problems where someone understands you.

I'm so sorry you are having such problems there are quite a few on this chat that have the same issues please hang in there! There is lots of good advice and experience to have here! I don't have much experience with colonic inertia I have the opposite (go way too much) but I'm sure some of the others that do will chime in.
Will be praying for you ;-)
