For those of you who are new and are wondering if you can go swimming this summer, the answer is YES!! smilewinkgrin We got a pool about a week ago, and I've been swimming every day (sometimes twice a day) and showering afterward, and my wafer has stayed on for 7 days! I wear the Coloplast Assura Extended Wear Wafer #2833 and love how waterproof it is. So, stay cool this summer, and enjoy swimming in the pool, lake, beach, or waterpark!
Dx'd Crohn's in '99 at age 28. Proctocolectomy and permanent ileostomy in '06.
Disease-free and medicine-free since surgery and very thankful to be healthy again.

You lucky duck to get a pool!!!

I love to swim. 7 days has never happened to me. What good of luck!! I thought it was the swimming that made it shorter wear time. Maybe it's the running and sweating.

Everyone is so different.

Congrats, that's amazing...... when my butt wound finally heals, the first thing on my list is going swimming. It's great to know that so many have no trouble....
