Hey guys. I think i read this somewhere on this forum before but i don't remember the answer. I was wondering if anyone has ever had small red dots on their stoma before? I saw my ostomy nurse today and she didnt really seem too concerned about it because she said usually distress to the stoma leads to white spots. I see my surgeon tomorrow so i will ask him as well. I'm kinda paranoid that its my crohns coming back and starting right on my stoma. Is that possible?

All good :) Told my surgeon about it and he said it was normal :) I'm waiting on results for my blood test to check the levels of whatever it's called that shoots way up if you have active disease. Step 1 of reversal. So exicted!

Glad it's fine and that you're excited. I think you mean the CRP or the sed rate (ESR)..... they are inflammatory markers that are pretty crude ... they can go up for a lot of reasons if you have inflammation anywhere, but my CRP goes off the charts when I'm flaring.....

Yea! that's what is was I'm pretty sure. I knew it started with a C something lol. I did that today and for the first time ever when the nurse took my blood I wouldnt stop bleeding. It was probably about a full 5-6 minutes of hard pressure that i had to put on it to make it stop. The nurse asked me if i was taking blood thinners. It was really weird.
