I have lost a lot of weight..19 pounds to be exact..down to 93 pounds and I am 5'4. The doctor has done every test possible from cts of lungs to pelvis and a lot of blood work.. Only thing that came back in blood work was elevated hemoglobin. He states it is not stress that on the pelvic ct there was some "shrinkage". He called it something..syndrome. He states that it is mal absorption and happens to people with ileostomys. Basically everything is going straight through me, but my crohms is not flared? I have been stuffing myself, drinking ensure, ice cream with no results, just more weight loss . Does anyone have any idea what he is talking about? Has this happened to anyone? And any ideas on how to get weight on?

Hey Girlfriend,
I am so sorry that you are struggling so bad with this large amount of weight loss. I'm sure it is stressful and worrisome to say the least. You are in my prayers and thought daily, and I wish I was there to be of some support for you sweetie. You are such an amazing person and I am so blessed to have met you here at HW Site and to have you as my dear friend. I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you, my computer is in the pawn shop till August 1st so I'm having to use my daughters laptop when she isn't using it.
I'm sure losing weight continually has got to be so hard to deal with and not being able to fix it. As I am the opposite as you and i keep gaining weight on a daily basis. Extremely getting heavy and I'm only 5'3. It worries and scares me.
I am here for you anytime, by email, Fb, Texting...Prayers, well wishes, hugz and smiles sent to you.
Your Healingwell Friend,
