Me again!

I'm going on holiday on Friday and am looking for an annual insurance policy that covers me for a temporary ileostomy and not having much luck!

I'm based in the UK and would be grateful if anybody knows any companies that I could contact.

Thank you

I posted the same thread a couple of days ago - someone commented saying to try Travel Guard which can be purchased through a travel agent. I've never heard of it before but am going to look into it. I'm going away on holiday in 5 weeks so got a little more time than you though! :P

Thank you - i'll give it a go now. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute!!!
Hysterectomy 2008 & bladder prolapse repair. Repair failed after few weeks so diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos (connective tissue disorder) had mesh surgery May 2010 and appeared successful. Admitted A&E May 2011 with severe abdominal pain. Misdiagnosed, had unnecessary appendectomy, then week later emergency op to remove gangrenous bowel strangulated by mesh. Had ileostomy & hoping for reversal soon

I've used fortis travel insurabce before. They are only available through insurance brokers and they have 4 qualifying questions. Off top of my head they were
1) Not having any blood disorders
2) Not dx or undergoing cancer treatment
3) Not been in hospital within (think it was) 3 months
4) can't remember, may have been travelling against drs advice or may have been terminally ill.

I could answer no to all questions so covered me. I have to look around each time I go away as ins companies keeo changing their health questions and criteria.
