Hi all, I just got a call from my surgeon's office to confirm all of my preop appointments and my surgery date. I asked about my recent defecography and was told that my surgeon said there was nothing about it that would change our plans, so we are proceeding with the surgery.

I'll have my preop appointments on October 28th, and my total colectomy on November 8th.

I am so relieved. Of course I'm more nervous about the surgery now, but it is a good kind of nervous. It is a relief to know that after over a year of testing and appointments there is a light at the end of the tunnel now.

Ali, the BEST of luck to you!  You will be in my prayers for a speedy recovery.  Are you having a permanent ileo?

Great that you have a plan. thinking of you.
49 years old, female. Sick for way too long with Crohn's (or possibly UC) Proctocolectomy and permanent ileostomy in Feb 2011. Surgery for lingering perineal wound on Sept 26. Other than the wound, been feeling healthier than I have in years.
