"diets" never work for long. and it's not healthy to remove carbs from your diet, or remove all these other things.
what you have to do is change your lifestyle, like sue said weight watchers is an excellent way! they teach you how to do normal things that will fix your problem.
Also, i don't know what you drink but what we drink is a big factor in gaining weight. And people don't realize but juice will pack pounds on faster than almost anything! Diet drinks will also make you gain weight, the best thing is good old plain water. I like that commercial that says, our bodies aren't made of gatorade or koolaid, they are made of water!
Anyway, i digress, if you can exercise that's great too, even something as simple as walking or light weights. Small changes also can make a big differnce, take the stairs instead of the elevator, park farther away from the store, swing your legs or fidget when you are sitting, and never stand still.
I lost like 40 lbs in about 2 months basically just cutting cokes out and doing the insanity workout, although it might not be something you would want to try, it's pretty hard on your joints, lots of jumping and such.
The only real diet is eat less calories than you burn. good luck!
