On wafer changing days, I shower in the morning before breakfast, so there's very little output. You can also eat about
5 large marshmallows which, amazingly, stops the output long enough to get through the shower and wafer change! Oh, the things you learn on here...
Since you're still trying out wafer/pouches to find the right one for you, I'd like to recommend the Coloplast Assura Extended Wear Wafer (item #2833) and cloth covered pouch (#13986). I put it on dry skin with some Stomahesive paste around the hole, and it lasts for a week! My ostomy nurse introduced me to this product in the hospital 6 years ago, and I've never had a leak, praise God!!
There are so many products to choose from, and I know everyone is different, but it's definitely worth giving it a try to see if you like it. If you contact Coloplast, they'll give you free samples.
Glad to hear you're doing so well!
