Just as an FYI - I saw my surgeon today who said you can't have an 'end' stoma with a colon in situ as there isn't enough room and the angulations of the small bowel behind the stoma can easily develop adhesions. Your surgeon did the right thing taking your colon out. Hang in there Rosemary! MASSIVE healing hugs coming your way. x

June 2010 - Emergency partial colectomy for peritonitis/perforated diverticulitis with temporary Ileo. Reversal Oct 2010.
July 2011 - End Ileostomy after reversal failed due to 'dysmotility'.
October 2012 - Laparotomy and new loop Ileo formed to correct stenosis and adhesions.
