Rosemary, I've held myself back from writing til now because the cacehexia was so alarming I didn't know what to say. Please do take to heart what ddd says about
getting the most from Dr. Remzi. Let him do the diagnosis from your symptoms. He needs to be able to form his own picture, without having to know the versions by all the past doctors. Give him that much, at least. I trusted and enjoyed the company of both my GI and my surgeon, and that, in itself, made the most horrendous experience of my life that much easier. Putting your trust in a doctor will change the picture entirely. My surgeon came to see me every day in the hospital, no matter what his schedule was, and just the fact that I enjoyed his company and awful jokes made a big difference.
That said, I am wishing you all everything there is to resolve what you've been going through for months, as well as a good trip getting there, and mostly I wish you the feeling that you are in competent hands you can trust.
