Addressing your last point, I think realistically you KNOW that there is a risk with any of these surgeons that you could end up worse off or on lifetime TPN. The surgeons who don't admit it or claim they can fix everything aren't better, they're just not communicating the risks to you as Dr R did.
*You are not a doctor* so I don't think you should make these decisions based on whether the doctor's treatment plan matches the plan you seem to have decided upon for yourself. I suspect Dr R is focused on the inertia issue not because he isn't listening to you but because he suspects that with your history you might have had an undiagnosed inertia issue.
You should make your decision based on which doctor your trust the most, which one listened to you, which one made you feel the most confident, and which is considered the most expert in this area. Based on your experience at CC as you described it in this thread I think it sounds like Dr Remzi is the one for you. Of course you have to make that decision for yourself but please, please make it based on the *right* factors.
