Thanks Scrap Girl, I maybe didn't explain it sufficiently because i'm new to this site. I have a lot of stool it seems, sometimes it's very loose. This morning is was soft consistency. It's like you feel when you have to go to the bathroom, except you go more than usual. I do get some feeling of urgency, like I better get to the bathroom right away. That doesn't last long, and once I go it subsides. I tend to go numerous times during the day, more than i did before the take down. I think that is irritating the anal opening like a hemmroid would do. This morning, I had to use the bathroom a lot and got a lot of stool out -- now I feel fine. I do find that from time to time, especially when driving a car and sitting that I get a sudden urgency, but it only lasts maybe 30 seconds and goes away. I also get gas from that and sometimes some small amount of stool leakage -- sounds gross, but that's the only way I can explain it. There is no bleeding or anything like that. I have tried changing diets, and keeping a food log to see what foods cause the problem. Once I get going for the day, I seem to do just fine and go several hours without any problem, but I am always mindful that I may have to use the bathroom suddenly. Like I said before, I'm only 5 months post reversal, and I had the bag for about 6 months. My doctor says it can take a year to correct itself. Should I maybe be using some hemmroid cream or desitin to help with the irritation? I did go to my oncologist yesterday and he said as far as he could tell I was doing fine.
