Immodium would slow gut motility, allowing more water to be absorbed into the body, I think.
I have an end so it isn't as hard for me to stay hydrated as those with loops, but I have had one incident where I thought I might have needed to go to urgent care to get an IV (but I managed on my own). In a 24 hour period I went out drinking, went for a run, and had a giant iced coffee and a giant iced tea... Very foolish! Now whenever I drink alcohol or coffee I make sure to have some kind of ORS soon after (not real ORS, because I'm lazy, usually diluted Gatorade or coconut water).
