I've heard a lot about drainage between surgeries 2 and 3 for those who have had j pouch surgery. I had an emergency colectomy and end ileostomy back in December, and had the j pouch and temporary loop ileostomy on May 7th about 10 days ago. I had drainage even after my colectomy but still haven't had any drainage after jpouch surgery. Is this something I should be worried about?

Are you feeling any pressure like something needs to come out, or are you comfortable?

It's most likely OK. When you have a post-op follow up visit with your surgeon he or she will probably do a rectal exam so if there's anything wrong that is causing the lack of drainage (e.g. a stricture at the anastomosis site is a very common post-op complication that could limit drainage) they'll find it then. I wouldn't worry in the meantime!
