I had on and off arthritis with UC. It hasn't recurred since I had my colectomy (the first step, with about
8 inches remaining like ActiveUCer). Not sure if you would call this extraintestinal but I also had very bad food sensitivities during my UC flare (I could only safely eat white bread and boiled chicken, more or less... banana once caused 36 hours of arthritis and heartburn flare up). All of those weird sensitivities along with lifelong lactose intolerance cleared up after colectomy.
Some issues that I hoped
were related to my UC did not go away, notably my dry/cracking skin and occasional facial acne. I think my dry skin is a bit BETTER than it used to be, but my latest theory is that it's a side effect of longterm pred use (thins the skin) so it's just improving gradually the longer I stay off steroids.
