So I was super excited because I saw my surgeon and wocn on monday who said I was completely healed up from my proctectomy and anal closure. Yesterday, I just happened to be looking at my wound with a hand mirror, and I noticed a tiny red spot next to the wound, it looks like a tiny scrape or nick from shaving. My husband look at it, and there is no infection, and no depth at all. There is no pain or drainage. I feel great and I would not have even noticed this if I hadn't been looking for it. I feel silly calling the nurse or surgeon since I saw them three days ago. I put a aquacell dressing on just to be safe. What do you guys think? I know the skin around the wound is still fragile, and I have been more active lately. I feel like my anxiety is out of control due to this past year. if I am not worrying about my wound, I'm worrying about my stoma or a possible complication. Usually, I can talk myself out of this, but I just cant seem to get a grip!
