I spoke again with the reasonable accommodation folk and made note that I can't have anything go below my waist. Will se if the polygraph people can do the test in this manner. Reasonable Accommodations are not guaranteed. My letter came back with "if available" added to it. This will be interesting as they don't even adjust the strap for pregnant women! Not providing me with at least this request could put me at risk of injury. I don't want to wind up with surgery to fix my stomp! I've had enough surgeries!
I'm petite so my torso is short. It's a 4 hour test and they tell you eat before it! It really doesn't matter when they do it. I find my output it pretty steady during the day. I also need to exercise in the AM to make sure I'm loosen up for the sitting. I'm still recovering from my surgery. Part of my tailbone was shaved off to make a deep closure for my butt checks to be sewn together. It still aches at times...so it will depend on what I'm sitting on as well and if I am allowed to move or not. It hard to be relax when you're physical restricted to a chair. I've viewed the photo of polygraphs on line together an idea of the placement of the equipment.
We'll see what happened. This is something unique for an Ostomy person to go through. I'm not worried about
pass/ fail the test...it's all subjective anyway. Just worried about
my safety. I've Ben through a lot with my health condition from the past 4 years and events like this keep setting me back. It's been a long windy road!
