Hey ladies and gents,
4 weeks post op for a nasty volvulus my surgeon had to go in and un tangle. Things had been going fine until last week when I started eating oats again (bobs red mill gluten free extra thick rolled oats lol) Before that I had been low residue and low fiber. I probably introduced the oats a little too soon, as since I did introduce them I noticed my stoma started retracting a bit over the past few weeks and is now nearly flush with my skin sometimes. I don't have a blockage as stuff is processing through, but I am getting some spasms and the retraction whenever it outputs.
Do you think I just introduced the fiber a bit too soon/my intestines are still narrow and inflamed post surgery, and could this just be a reaction that slowly built up, and it should resolve doing the lower fiber low residue thing again? My month follow up with my surgeon is next Tuesday. I was just wondering if any body has had similar experiences or occurrences!
