Axis, what you are describing sounds normal to me and similar to my first few months with the pouch. I did have mild cuffitis and a mild stricture -- the cuffitis resolved on its own over time, and the stricture resolved from a manual exam by my GI. I would definitely discontinue the Imodium -- the spasms you're feeling have to do with the retraining of the bowels and Imodium is probably only hurting your emptying problems. You might inquire with your GI about
an antispasmodic med instead (e.g. Levsin or Bentyl) although the only thing that really helped me with the spasms was time. Now I only have them if I've been holding a BM for a long time, e.g. on a long car trip.
Try to resist the urge to over analyze and treat every symptom. The main thing I've learned about
my pouch (now 2+ years old!) is that it really does change in weeks and months, not days. The things that are annoying you now will improve gradually and in their own time.
