Hi
The samples came today (2 pouches),. They look a lot like the Marlin pouches (which is what I use now). It shows they come in a soft, a light, and a deep. but I don't know which one this sample is. These are clear, which I don't care for, but I would think they will come opaque as well. The filter is different than the flat Mio as well.. They just don't look as nice, or whatever, as the original Mio did, Anyone else get a sample yet?

No, i called and requested them and she said it's only available through hospitals.

I responded on your other thread.

I was really excited but your description made me less excited.

Hi
I hope I like them better than my first impression. They aren't bad, just not what I was expecting for some reason. I think some of it is the clear bag. If I were you I would go on the Coloplast website and order samples of it, not sure why I would get them before anyone else would anyway.

I went on the website and there wasn't any option to select convex. To be honest, i don't want them if the pouch is clear. I don't desire to see poo more often than I currently see it. I notice they will send you clear samples unless you specifically ask for opaque. I also wouldn't want adhesive coupling.

It's potentially exciting to me that they come in deep convex. I used to use coloplast and switched because the convexity wasn't deep enough -- leaked too much. Is the mio bag as easy to clean as the sensura bag? I still find the convatec bags annoying that way.

Last year at my monthly ostomy meeting at the hospital, Coloplast presented Mio. We, including the nurses, were thrilled at all the different features. Thrilled was an understatement (the ostomy nurse is actually an ostomate herself). I asked about convex, he actually told me that Mio would never make a convex. I'm happy to hear that the demand did call for it and they changed their mind!

I'm going to see what I can do to get some, clear is def not an option. I'll let you know!
