Hello Everyone,
I used to log on to the Crohn's Disease site and now I find myself here...I have Crohn's now since 16 years and have had a re-section back in Aug 1988 I had 4 feet removed in the small intestine...Drug free for 7 years, I figured all was behind me...think again..back in April this year I found myself at the hospital with a blockage in five new five months of meds and now I end up back in the hospital on Sept 22...blocked and vitals not good...the surgeon tells me that cause I'm too sick to have my boby prepared of the surgery I will need to have a temp Ileostomy..for maybe 4 weeks...after I wake up...I'm told I had 4 feet of my large removed, the old surgery repaired, old insetions had hernia's and he also removed that..several scare tissue removed thre out the intestines...and the loop...and if that where not enough I got and infection in my lower stomac the wond opened up..large like a tooney and deep like your baby you can imagine I felt like crap and now post-op 35 days still do...and to top it off...I go see the doctor last week and he is now saying that I may have to keep the ostomy for 3,6 maybe evne 9 I'm a little upset...and the wond is slow to this is slowing me down and hurts like mad...Thanks for listening..:)
