It hurts so bad to go. I feel urgency and try to hold it as long as i can to train my pouch. I sit on the toilet and there is stool almost all of the time but I feel like I just sit there and strain.

It feels like back when I had colitis and have what I feel is similar to the “dry heaves” until it feels like my insides are gonna come out. It’s so painful. It’s not just butt burn. It feels so raw inside. Is this normal? It hurts to sit bc the inside hurts so much. Ugh i can’t wait to go to the doc at this point.

I feel like I’m just existing and waiting for it to get better. But it’s not. I know it takes time, but it’s getting worse I feel. I go 15+ times a day and that’s with an immodium in the am and pm.

I don’t even want to eat in the evening bc I am just so tired of going at that point. I’d rather starve than keep feeling this crappy. I have no ide how much weight I’m losing but i don’t care!

You might have a stricher and need a dilation. It is very common. Things will get better.

All your weight will comeback once you are healthy again

I am sorry you're struggling. Keith is right, there could be something going on that a surgeon can diagnose. When are you going in? Maybe you can get in sooner... What you describe sounds similar to what i was going through to some extent. I would push a lot, and go often, my butt burned... It may be normal healing, but it could be something more & require a check-up. We all want to think of take-down as the "end all be all" of moving on, but really it's just the start of healing. I was probably going 15x right after, but by the time I went to my follow up, I was going probably 8x. I still have better and worse days, it really depends what i eat. If I eat late I will get up in the night to go, which I hate. I don't take imodium though and I probably should if I am having a day where I go more often.

The first couple of weeks I was going about 20x a day, remember your body is going through a huge adjustment period trying to learn it's new plumbing.

Order this cream . I was giving this in the hospital. My butt was raw to pieces horrible . It really helped . Just keep it on 24/7 it protects skin from acid/ poop and helps when wiping . To wipe/ clean I mostly just filled a big platic cup in the sink with Luke warm water before I sat on toilet then poured water down there to rinse . Sorry you are hurting so bad . Man I know its insane how bad it can hurt . Be well soon .

Sugarmarie- that’s exactly what they gave me and what I’ve been using. It’s really helpful! Agreed

Hey Sadie, it looks like
Medline Remedy Phytoplex Z-Guard Skin Protectant Paste, 4 Ounce. Amazon has it. I had success with cheapie 40% zinc oxide ointment from Walmart.
Good luck,
Mike
