I've been living with an Ileostomy for 2 1/2 years and love it. I had Ulcerative Colitis which resulted in perferation of my colon. Two surgeries later, I have nothing left. This is not my problem. I'm now 47 years old and well, Menapause. My Gyno feels I might be starting but after I get the results back from my blood tests, will I know for sure. I'm a bit concerned that each time I have a cycle, I bleed out a little more and I get sicker & sicker with it. Sometimes I get 2 a month and (not spot) bleed when I ovulate. Is this the start of Menapause? Or is something else wrong since I have an Ileostomy? sad
Maybe I shouldn't worry but my blood pressure drops and I get very dizzy. This in turn makes me nauseous and very achy. It can last for a day to almost 3 days until I get my first day. Then I bleed real heavy, which will sometimes last for 3 - 4 days then poof! its gone. Then other times it'll last for a week or so. During this time my stoma output will be like water and no matter what I eat or drink, seems like it goes right through me. I get night sweats all the time which makes it hard to sleep but only after I ovulate. Hot flashes happen anytime. With my Ileostomy, I seem more gassy then before, after ovulation. This all happens in about 2 weeks time unless I get 2 a month, then its the whole month. I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
