I have my ileostomy reversal / J-Pouch surgery coming up in October.  I have heard that there is a small chance that during the surgery there may be some issues associated with impotency, retrograde ejaculation etc...I'd like to hear from any men out there that have undergone the surgery that have experienced these problems, and, also, is it recommended that one should go to a sperm bank prior to the operation?  BTW I've never been to a sperm bank so how does that work - does your surgeon organize that, or do you just walk in?

I recommend you post your question on the discussion boards of www.j-pouch.org There are over 6000 j-pouchers on that board and only a few here.
