I got my life back post subtotal colectomy with ileostomy.  Today, I went to my GI without one complaint.  The visit was only 30 minutes (compared to the usual hour and a half).  My med list has gone from an entire sheet of paper to just a few.  My electrolytes and blood levels have stabilized, and I have enough energy to attempt to return to work.  There is Hope, I found mine after surgery.

That's wonderful! I'm so happy for you and couldn't agree more. Had I known how great I'd feel with an ileostomy, I wouldn't have waited 7 years to have the surgery!!
