How many with colostomys have a mound?

Mine is getting huge! My ostomy now sits on a mound the size of 1/2 a softball.
Oh and yes I have asked to get a referal to have my surgeon check it out.
It started about 9 monthes post op ( 5+ years now ). Surgeon said it was herniated but lets wait until more surgery needs done but so far my crohns is staying fairly mild.

There's not much you can do about it , unforunately. It's a result of your abdominal muscles becoming compromised after surgery and losing their tone, or at least that's what a former ostomy nurse once told me. In my case it wasn't a hernia.
