Anyone have any post surgery hernia stories?  How painful it may have gotten before it became a real problem? I know i have it, and it's been getting more and more painful. I have the rectum surgery coming in January and originally my surgeon said he'd do it all then. But i'm not sure i want to, or can, wait that long. Is there a web site anywhere that might descibe all this?  I've been to a couple of hernia sites but they don't really mention what can happen after they take out your colon.

I've had three hernias; one inguinal, one incisional, and one femoral. I'm not really sure what information you're looking for.
