The doc has me scheduled for reversal surgery Dec 5.  This will be so different from the emergency surgery I had to have in August from a ruptured intestines due to diverticilosis, so I guess its ok to be anxious and wondering what to expect as far as healing time and how different it will be than the last 4 months of open wound healing I have been going through.  I do understand there will be a definite healing process for the stoma also.  I was wondering if I would need to worry about bowel movements that have become so loose during this time of using the bag and how it will be after the surgery.  Anyone been through this with any advise?

I cannot offer any words of wisdom for you as my ileostomy is permanent, but you should be excited and anxious! Congratulations!
