Yes, this should get better with time. Give yourself a full year for adaptation. A great place to go for support is www.j-pouch.org Over 6000 members on that site who have had either a j-pouch, permanent ostomy or k-pouch. We do understand and we know that no one else likes to hear about these problems!

2000 lost all my B-12 stores and became anemic
2001 opted for j-pouch surgery- now living life med-free
