I agree that one prescription does not fit all. I understand the time-consuming wait to see the doc. BUT ... I wouldn't mess with meds like you are without consulting your Mom's doc.
You seem to be discontent with her neuro. Are there other neuros - preferably Movement Disorder Specialists (MDS) - to whom you could switch? Another valuable resource regarding meds could be your pharmacist (may not have one if do mail order, although mail order may have a resource as well).
I would strongly discourage you from messing with meds. You say you only switch weekly. Sometimes it takes several weeks to modify and stabilize meds. I would strongly encourage you to work WITH the medical staff. When you say you have seen different combos of meds with different people so you know you aren't hurting your Mom .... couldn't be further from the truth. True that one shoe doesn't fit all ... but one shoe fits your Mom. I would strongly discourage you from messin' with her meds. Talk to her doc or get a new one.
