Hello, this is my 2nd post here so I'll try not to confuse you.
I have 3 conditions going on with me. I have cervical degenerative disk c3-4 & c6-7. My spine doctor say's I don't need surgery yet. He sent me to PT for 3 weeks, which didn't do much for me. I couldn't stand the pain all day long at work, so before they fired me I had my chiropractor take me out of work on State disability. During the last 4 month of being out of work the cycle of anxiety & depression got so bad I was referred to a Physcologist for an evaluation. She told my Pain Management doctor that I have an anxiety disorder. My Pain management doctor I forgot to mention gave me an epidural and was doing "Prolothearpy" (ligament strengthening injections, which became harder to give to me. Well I have noticed that my right leg & hand/arm. Shake all the time now, so I was sent to a Neurologist 2 weeks ago. He diagnosed me with PARKINSON'S! He put me on Mirapex that day. I have so much going on now I'm just confused on what to do.
I have enough time in my job to draw a $$ retirement from them. I called SSA and they mentioned I might be eligible for SSDI but I forgot to fine out if I will be able to collect that & my job $$ retirement.
Someone told me that I couldn't get SSDI + have retirement income? This has been a stressing thing to me, since I didn't have anything wrong with me for the 32 years I worked. I'm 53 yrs old & if I did retire, I wanted it to be healthy. Now I can't get a second retirement going, due to the conditions I have...heck I cab barely make it through a day let alone work. The way I see it I'm defiantly disabled, so I shouldn’t have to wait until I'm 62 or 66 yrs old to collect SS or SSDI.
My question is am I going to be able to get SSDI have a job retirement also. The Union says yes? What's your opinion?
