My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson disease 7 years ago and recently confirmed that he has Lewy Body Dementia. He is has been bed bound over a year now with very limited movements. He caught a nasty cough couple of weeks ago and suddenly stopped talking. We checked him for infections and the hospital confirmed that he is clear of all infections. He hasn't said a word for the last 4 days which is unusual for him. I am going to speak to the PD nurse tomorrow. Have anyone been in similar situations, I don't know whether this is normal for Parkinson patients who are in their final stages.
