First let me say we don't have health insurance. I own my own business, and just don't make enough money to afford any kind of health insurance at this time.
For the reason above I don't have the money to hire a specialist, or pay for many different tests.
My wife is Asian, in her late 60s. No other health problems, not over weight, good blood pressure, low carb diet, with regular exercise [exercising since we've been married, for over 30 years]. She has no living relatives so we don't know of any family history.
So she developed head tremors a few years ago [hard to pinpoint the exact time this happened, but let say around 7 years ago, and no head trauma in the 30 years I've known her] Also, while she was never the timid type, we never did have many really big fights [ie screaming, profanity, name calling].
Over the past four years, or so, her anger issues have been increasing exponentially. Her anger is out of proportion to the perceived offense, not to mention, in most cases completely unjustified.
It was getting so bad I was considering divorce, as she was escalating to physical violence as in breaking things. Also she got to where she used profanity with almost every casual conversation [which made me suspect Alzheimer] Then she would be apologetic/sorry, and in tears as she knew it was becoming a huge problem.
Over the last year she started a new tic, which is rocking back/forth, then around 6 months ago she started making frequent grunting sounds, and at times she also has almost crippling anxiety.
So I researched Alzheimer as the mood swings, anger, profanity, and age seemed to fit. However, after doing a lot of research she don't fit the symptoms. I did the same research with bi-polor, depression, dementia, and other psych related disease. While having a few symptoms nothing ever pointed me to believing she had any of those diseases.
Someone mentioned that due to the head tremors, and rocking, my wife might have Parkinson disease. I started doing a search on the anger issues from PD [Parkinson disease]. I was amazed at what I found. I never knew there were anger/rage issues associated with PD. In one of the articles I read a man who was suffering from PD actually killed his wife while in a rage, and of course was horribly sorry afterward.
With everything I had researched up to that point my wife would have a few of the symptoms, but with PD she had ALL of the symptoms.
racing thoughts palpitations
almost always angry
threatening or assaulting people/animals

I've also research essential tremors for which also would seem to fit, but when you look at everything in its entirety it definitely seems to point to PD vs essential tremors.
So a couple of weeks ago we saw our family doctor, and I discussed everything I posted here. The doctor said it definitely could be PD. However, she said that we would have to see a specialist to confirm this.
The doctor prescribed some meds [I will get the names of the meds, and post here if needed]. Its been about two weeks, and my wife does seem to be much better. We haven't have any horrible fights [which were becoming almost every other day] since she started her meds, and her temors, and anxiety seems to be under control.
My question is, what does the forum think? I know we need to see a specialist, but again, we just can't afford it right now, also the covid has really hurt my business. Hopefully, in the future my business with pick up, and we can afford a specialist, but for now I would just like to know if I'm on the right track with this.
