Ms. Lee, Mr. Buddy, and pal Murphy,

Thanks for the e-card!  What a nice precursor to the Rosebowl Parade!

I'm about early, loading up the shelves with black-eyed peas, cabbage, flat mustard greens, and green grapes.
I'm not so big on superstitions as such.  I will however take every opportunity to get more people to eat more fresh fruits and veges!

Ms. Lee, I loved your comparison of fireworks and stargazing.
A couple of decades or so ago, Roseanne Cash (Johnny and Ruth Carter's daughter) did a moving version of "Somewhere in the stars -  I'll be seeing you tonight."
My sentiments exactly.......
Thanks for the personal touch, the flowers in your card and the flowers from your heart!
Whenever I see them - anywhere people express genuine care and concern to one another - I'll forever call them the "Bluebird & Buddy - BB" constellation.....
(EE and FF might also get "real" Sirius about shepherding the "Murphy" star, too....)

2 Years of PSA between 4 and 5.5  + Biopsy 23DEC06
Only 5 percent cancer in one of 8 samples.  +  Gleeson 3+3=6
Radical Prostatectomy 16FEB07 at age 54.
1+" tumor - touching inside edge of gland.  + Confined:)
Pad Free @ 14 weeks.  Six Month PSA <.003  :)
Nine month PSA <.008
At 9 months, ED treated with Pump Exercises & 100mg Viagra Daily
Texas Hill Country FRESH Produce Department Manager
Have you had your 5 colors today?

So perfect, MamaB! We talked last night about how we would make every effort to make 08 slow down, so we could enjoy every minute of it - as opposed to 07, which flew by. So this e-card was so very wonderful!

So, now it's off for a Mimosa to ring in the New Year with a little O.J. (See, Cedar? We're getting our fruit allowance!)

Happy New Year to all!
Husband age 66
PSA on 5/1/06: 4.2 (had doubled in 13 mos. and rising monthly)
DaVinci Surgery 8/2/06 - Austin, TX w/Dr. Randy F.A.G.I.N.
T2a (at biopsy)
At pathology - cancer cell leakage into fatty tissue
Post-Surgical PSA on 10/06, 4/07 - undetectable!
11/1/06 - perhaps bladder neck involvement; 30%-50% chance of recurrence
PSA test "Un-zero-detectable" on 10/16/07.
9% chance recurrence w/in next 7 years (down from 50% as we understand it)
Future: PSA tests twice-yearly for now.

Thanks for the beautiful card! And a HUGE THANKS for your concern, support, counsel and friendship during my journey this past year. It wasn't necessarily fun, and I sure wish I hadn't had to travel it, but I know it would have been a lot lonelier without you and all the wonderful folks on this forum. May 2008 bring the blessings of good health, peace and properity to you all!
