I thought I would update my friends here, since it's been weeks since I posted.  I am still where I was with incontinence & impotence.  Almost no leakage at night nor while sitting and I can make it to the pot when I get up.  But once I go, the drip, drip, drip starts all over again.

Actually, there has been a couple of times I have had improvements in erections, but none usable. I have had success in erections via injections, but that produces discomfort even though I have been able to penetrate, ... or maybe it's the condom I must use since I am still leaking. I have been able to please my sweet, even tho it's painful to me.  We usually just pet and cuddle.  She is so supportive!

Does anyone know of a case or cases where someone has become continent even after 11 months?

At two uro's encouragement, I am staying dry by use of the clamp, but that's nothing to brag about, is it.

I am thinking of switching urologists again, to attempt ot find someone who is more aggresive in treatment, if there is such a kind.  Does anyone know of anyone here in Dallas?  Let me know, if so.

Gene, I've got you back here. I know how you feel. Just wondering, if you were to not use the clamp how many soaked pads a day would you have under normal activity and liquid intake? I ask because at 15 months and wathcing what I drink I am still soaking 4 to 6 pads a day. I chose not to use the clamp due to the possibility of a UTI. I have been seeing a bio-feedback therapist for months now. Each time I go she shows me on the computer that I am gaining on muscletone. I will stay the course with this until June. We are taking a cruise and I do not want any complication to come up if I had the AUS done between now and then. If things arent drasticly different by then I will probably throw in the towel and go for the AUS.
I have not heard of any other "agressive" treatments? I would be interested in any treatments that may help!

Hang in there,
KW

KW,

With normal activity, I will soak a pad every two hours.

What is "UTI"?

Gene,
I am at one year and am still seeing slow improvement in my continuing incontinence. My friend, who had surgery in 2002, was a full two years before he became pad free, so don't give up. As far as changing Urologists, I don't think you can ever have too many opinions on this. Good Luck!
Best,
Mike
