Old thread. Note dates.

Would everyone who is getting their Bimix,Trimix or Quadmix from a Compounding Pharmacy post the name, address and phone number of the Pharmacy, if known? Method of delivery, cost and time to ship and any other information will be appreciated...

I am getting my bimix from Nora Apothecary in Indianapolis, Indiana. Their address is 1101 East 86th Street, Indianapolis, In. 46240. Phone 317-251-9547. I am local to Indianapolis, so I drive there. I have no idea how they would handle shipping. I am currently paying $49.00 for 10ml.

I get my Bimix from:

Franck's Compunding Lab
1210 SW 33rd Ave
Ocala, FL 34474
800-622-4510

The vial is shipped overnight in a cold pack perishable package. It is hipped out the same day that I call it in. Cost is $50 for a 5 ml vial. They will also include syringes at $4 per package of 10.

I am getting bimix from Rancho Park Compounding Pharmacy, 10569 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, 90064. (310) 475-3541.

I pay $130 approximately for 10 ml. Quite pricey compared to the above numbers, though my insurance reimburses, leaving me with a $20 copay. I am sure they ship, but don't know the costs for that.

I have been using Francks pharmacy in Ocala Fl. since last May.  As of three weeks ago, they now have begun charging for shipping.  I was told bimix does not have to be shipped in a cold bag anymore, and now has a 6 month expiration date on the vile.  3 day Fed Ex shipping is $7.95 and anything cold shipped overnight is $24.95. A 5ml vile is $50.00 and 30 gauge needles are still 10 for $4.00.  They recommend keeping the vile cold, but traveling with it in your pocket for a day is no problem now.

my compounding pharmacy King Pharmacy 1112 West 6th St, Lawrence, KS 66044 785 843-4516  Pharmacist, Brad Grant  -- king-rx@king-rx.com my 10ML of trimix plus syringes $110 - Brad is a great guy and very informative. He will mix to your specs. He was initially reluctant to have me provide his information  and the following tells why. I thought I would pass along the email that I received from him yesterday as it contains some information that could have a significant impact on us. Chris,   I am glad to hear that the product is working well for you. I will look into the syringes and needles  that you indicated and see if we can stock those. I appreciate you spreading the word about what compounds we offer.  We actually mail order compounded products ourselves but many states require an out of state pharmacy license to send products to residents of other states and also mass advertising of compounded products by compounding pharmacies is what gets the FDA down on compounding. They have tried to pass legislation that would eliminate compounded medications altogether. We are currently scrambling to head off the FDA from shutting down hormone replacement therapy compounds because they found 7 pharmacies who were inappropriately advertising these products on their websites. So compounding products for many people is good but the methods that some of these large scale compounders use is bad for the future of compounded products. Word of mouth by the customers is the best advertisement that compounders have.  Thanks again for the info on the syringes.   Brad

Hey James,

The Medicine Shoppe in Spokane no longer makes Trimix. I guess there are just not enough of us stickers to support the business...

Save $$$. Draw trimix into you syringe and freeze it. I was told it would last 1yr. Very easy to use----take out of freezer and let it thaw at room temp. Ten to fifteen minutes you set to inject. I tried it and it works dor me. Just a way to make life easier and safer. You may draw more from your vial to make your dose. I have .05ml frozen and I might top that off to .07ml.

I received my first 5 ML bottle of Tri-Mix from a local compounding pharmacy:

Henderson Pharmacy Services
186 West Main Street
Chillicothe, OH 45601
740-702-1181

$184.50 for 5 ML, VERY expensive compared to the prices quoted here. But with Tricare for Life coverage I paid $9.00 co-pay.

I got 5 cc bottle I believe of trimix standard. Cost $112.00 with syringes. They recommend freezing. Vial thaws in about 10 minutes. I started at .1 ml, then .17, then 2.3, next going to 3.3. Still not full results so we'll see how 3.3 is. I may blend Eregra ...a viagra generic that is a lot cheaper with fewer side effects.

I get mine from Francks, however they are having a problem with the FDA now.  Other Francks posters should have received the recall letter by now.  They will be shipping out free refills as per a phone conversation with them.  See my previous posts on this subject.
