I have been down that road with the Caverject. My first dose was 10mg and resulted in a 4 hr. erection that needed Sudafed to reduce. Nice to have a stiffy, but the aching and pain steadily increasing during the experience offset any pleasure. I tried 10 more times with Caverject, both the premixed and the powder, with failures each time. I never did get the same results as far as erect as the first time, and the pain and aching stayed at each of the varied dose levels that I tried. I never did try more than 10mg, fearing the pripriasm again. I finally gave up on it. I used 30ga. 1/2 inch needles and injected at a slight down ward angle at the 2 and 10 oclock positions, keeping back away from the head and not getting really close to the base of the penis and the body. I tried 5/16 inch needles, along with the 1/2 inch . The 1/2 inch seemed to be too long, as I hit the center divider barrier a couple times and had to pull back on the syringe a little to get the injection plunger in. My instructions was to lightly massage the penis to spread the dose through out both sides. I am now struggling with the same issue using Bimix, and suspect I will have the same lack of erection results that I had with Caverject, without the aching or pain. I don't know your situation as far as veinous valve action working properly, thats the valve that holds the blood in the penis during and erection. It appears mine are not working now, and either allows the injected medicine to leak out of the penis into the body, or the medicine doesn't trigger the valves to close to keep the penis erect. I haven't figured which is happening with me yet. Have you used a pump yet? I found the valves didn't work by using one without the rings and seeing the blood flow right back out of the penis, losing any erection I had gained with the pump. This may be what is happening in your case with the Caverject. If my theory is correct, then I and maybe you will continue to have injection failures until we have healed to the point the valves start working. This is ONLY a theory on my part, so others may have other ideas about it. Swimom is an advanced study on this subject...
