Is anyone here using Viagra, Cialis or Levitra daily, at full dose? Would that be a bad thing?

I'm currently using either 100 mg Viagra or 20 mg Levitra daily.

StrictlyInc.,

I have been taking 100mg of Viagra daily since month 5 (6 months now).
My limited understanding of the possible side effects are flushed face, headaches,
and heart patients must be very careful
as paramedic STAT treatment for a heart attack is a deadly mix with Viagra.

Personally, I only notice more of a tendency to doze off   smurf ....
... that is more-so when I take Viagra than when I don't take it.
I don't get the headaches nor face-flushing.
However, everyone is different and you should look for
any other side effects and contra-indications listed by your pharmacist.

My experience is limited.  I'd ask Swimom.

Sincerely,

CCedar

I get limited side effects. And yes, good to be aware of the danger of being treated by paramedics.

I guess I wonder about the long-term use of these drugs. I am pretty much resigned to taking them now, but imagine at some point in the future they will figure out that such usage has some adverse side effect. Just hoping the benefit eventually pays off!

Strictly,

Save half the cost or even quarter the pills if you're using Viagra daily. More is not necessarily better!!! Wish it were though ;>)

The goal of taking a PDE5 is still achieved with half the dose. All studies so far, claim the dose isn't what makes the difference. It's the facilitation of NO, leading to better oxygenation/circulation during a man's normal nocturnal cycle that matters. Before current studies were complete, Paul took 10mg Levitra every night for 12 months as prescribed. Now he uses 50mg Viagra 2-3 nights a week or prn (as needed). With his history of surgery, radiation and hypogonadism, it helps him to stay on a small dose a few days a week.

There are some medication issues but not many really. Of course, any nitrate is very dangerous, even deadly within 48 hours of taking any one of the PDE5's. Actually, the 48 hour thing came about because of the longer acting Cialis. 24 hours is / was the standard prior to that. Please make your pharmacist aware of all medications you are taking. People taking alpha-blockers (BP meds) MAY need to adjust them a tad while using Cialis / Levitra as a maint. med. Some have even gone off their BP meds because a routine of Cialis works as well. Kinda double bonus, eh :>)

Thanks for the info, swimom - I'll follow up with the pharmacist and my urologist.

Splitting the Viagra pills is a helluva lot easier than splitting the Levitra...
